Cancellation Policy

A booking can be cancelled with a full refund up to 2 days (48 hours) before the booking start date. A cancellation can happen up until the booking start date but must be done prior to 48 hours before the start date to get a refund. This cancellation policy applies to both hourly and daily rental bookings.

Cancellations by the Renter

  • The Renter has the option to cancel a rental booking up until the start date of the booking.

    • If the booking start date is more than 2 days (48 hours) away, a full reimbursement will be given.

    • If the rental booking start date is in less than 2 days (48 hours), the booking can be cancelled by the Renter but no refund will be issued to the Renter.

  • For rentals booked within 48 hours of the booking start date, you will have the option to cancel your request and get a full refund if the booking is not confirmed yet.

    • If the Lender has not confirmed the booking request yet, you may be able to cancel the booking and get full refund returned to your original method of payment.

    • If the booking is confirmed, no refund will be issued if it is cancelled within 48 hours of the start date.

  • You cannot cancel a booking on the same day of the booking start date.

Cancellations by the Lender

  • If a Lender cancels a rental booking, you’ll be notified and fully reimbursed, and our customer service team will do all they can to help you find an alternative item. If you weren't expecting the rental to be cancelled, let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to:

  • If the Lender is not available to hand over the item, please contact us as soon as possible by email at — you’ll need to contact us within 12 hours of when the rental start date was scheduled to receive a full reimbursement of the cost of the rental.


  • If a rental booking is cancelled before being confirmed by the Lender then the transaction will only be "Pending" in your bank account. Once the request is cancelled, these funds are released on our end and will be returned to your original method of payment within a few days. You will not see a separate line item in your bank statement when the funds have been returned, they will simply be moved out of "Pending" status.

  • If a rental is cancelled after the Lender has accepted it, then your funds will have been fully debited from your account. In this case, it will generally take 5-10 days from the time of cancellation for your refund to hit your bank account.
